Flyer for Aquatic Invasive Species program

Aquatic Invasive Species are one of the greatest threats to biodiversity worldwide. Affecting both local ecology and economy, these small critters can have big impacts on Pennsylvania's watersheds. Come to this program and learn what characteristics make a species invasive, how they move from place to place, and how you can prevent their spread. Also, get tips for installing ponds and other water features in your garden or backyard.

Presented by Amber Stilwell of PA Sea Grant.

Flyer for From the Three Rivers to the Deep Blue Sea program

Pittsburgh has always been associated with steel, bridges and the rivers that surround the city. But for over a hundred years, Pittsburgh has also been home to many people who have a strong connection with the sea services. The submarine USS Pittsburgh was an important part of history and the men and women of Pittsburgh were there to support her from her launching to her decommission.

Join Bob MacPherson, a Retired Navy Chief Warrant Officer (Submarine Engineering Technician) with over twenty years of service, for this discussion about the history of the USS Pittsburgh and the Pittsburgh Navy League.

Tuesday, July 19 at 6:30 pm. Register here.

Masks Now Optional for All Library Programs and Storytimes

Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, the Cranberry Public Library, along with Cranberry Township, has been monitoring recommendations from the Department of Health and Education, as well as CDC guidelines to determine safety protocols for Cranberry Public Library.

Due to the recent guidance from the CDC and in accordance with township protocols, masks are now optional during all library sponsored programs and storytimes. Those wishing to wear masks may continue to do so. All library sponsored programs are listed on our events calendar

The Library and Township continue to monitor both state and local guidance and request understanding that protocols and expectations could change. Changes will be communicated via the Library’s website.
